Yes!  I actually found some validation for my suspicions … I’m not the only one “loving life after 50”!  The Today Show conducted online interviews from July 21-23, 2014 among a sample of 1,470 online adults ages 45-69. There were 3 sub-groups: 482 age 45-49, 492 age 50-59 and 496 age 60-69.  As you can see from the results, us boomers are feeling pretty good about life and for a number of great reasons.

The “This is 50” survey found people are more satisfied and less stressed in their 50’s, and nearly half say they’re enjoying life more than in previous decades.  “By about age 50 you may realize that, well, if you’re not CEO of the company you’re probably not going to be CEO,” says Marcia Reynolds, an executive and author of “Outsmart Your Brain” and “Wander Woman: How High-Achieving Women Find Contentment, “But you also realize that’s really OK.”

Courtney Cox, Brad Pitt, Jodi Foster, Sandra Bullock, Helen Hunt and the Obama’s are all in their 50’s and even have young children to boot!  Being in my early 50’s with young teens, I can relate and definitely feel pretty great when my knees aren’t hurting … my shoulder is working and I can get out of bed after 1/2 a bottle of wine without a major hangover!

Read This is 50 and enjoy your weekend!
